Zen - A Modern Mind View
Enlightenment and Spiritual Growth
Human
beings have always sought the elusive "meaning of life". Through religion or
through other spiritual endeavours, we struggle with our own
image of self and how it relates to the universe. Do we have a purpose? Or
do we just die and rot into the ground?
This struggle for understanding has occupied the minds of
some of the greatest thinkers and each has his of her own opinion. This
workshop offers an understanding of an ancient philosophy, but in terms and
understanding relevant to today and to a clearer understanding of your mind
and what it seeks.
Gary Johnston has always
been fascinated by the mind, in all its convolutions and desires. Spending
50 years studying all aspects mind, religion, philosophy, new age phenomena
and organisations, and even the darker paths, Gary came to rest in Zen.
And ancient philosophy of life and enlightenment, most
teachers of Zen use old techniques of different forms of meditations, Koans
(puzzles with no answers) and discipline. These methods have worked for
thousands of years to varying degrees and have helped millions understand
who and why they are what they are. But modern men and women often struggle
with these methods because of the complexities of life.
New understanding of the mind and its connections and
associations can strip years away from the traditional practices to give
greater understanding and the wonderful state of harmony that Zen Mind
provides.
This workshop is a one day introduction to Zen - A Modern
Mind View that will make you think deeply about yourself, your understanding
