This page contains answers to common questions handled by our support
staff.
Why are we different from other organisations and churches?
Perhaps the word church is not a good word to describe us. We do not follow
any point of view blindly. You are free to adopt your own idea of
God-Goddess-All That Is. We believe that the core of all religions is the same -
it is the controlling dogmas, that priests and followers have surrounded
themselves with, that we fight against.
All of human kind are equal. We have no Chiefs or Indians, no priests or
ministers espousing the truth of their own inhumane gods. We have no grand
buildings to call a church. Our church is our heart and mind. Our
"flock" is the human race, black, white, red or yellow, young or old,
heterosexual or homosexual. It is not for us to judge others or for others to
judge us. We are responsible for ourselves and for the welfare of others in our
life. To bring peace to the world we must first bring peace to ourselves and our
family and friends.
How will the Fellowship grow?
If you use this website and gain from it in any way personally or for your
family or friends, please tell everyone you know as part of a conversation.
Please don't try to convince anyone that we are right or that you have found the
secret to life. If our mission is right for human kind at
this time we will grow in number. As we grow in number our voice becomes louder
without raising our voice. We become an ocean of calm and peace, soothing those
we touch. Eventually we calm the world.
The funds we raise through donations and grants will be used to attract new
members through advertising, editorial and personal contact through other
organisations.
What happens to our donations to the Fellowship fund?
Our role is to educate, to defuse anger, to remove guilt, to help people love
themselves. Your donations will be used to expand our website information,
publish our literature and distribute it, to educate through seminars, to help
counsel individuals who need it.
As much as we would like to think that re-educating the world in personal
love and peace should cost nothing, reality lies elsewhere. Some of the funds
will be used through a number of mechanisms to attract new members. Our members,
families and friends thank you for you kindness and love.
From time to time we will publish the financial statements of our
organisation through this website. We believe all our activities must be
transparent.
Do you study the Bible as part of the church activity?
We study the bible, the torah, the koran, tao te ching, mumonkan, the dead
sea scrolls, jung's work and dozens of other works that are useful in
understanding our reality and our role in this existence. I deliberately spell
these texts in lower case - none are more useful than the others, and certainly
none more important than your own personal experience.
There are so many different views of reality, each written by an individual
with their own points of experience and programming. We are all programmed, as
you will see when you begin to experience our thoughts and learnings. That
programming colors what we convey to others. For that reason we try to work
from combined personal and shared experience.
Do you have a set of commandments or rules to live by?
No. Our core precept is to live in and teach peace and unconditional
impersonal love. It
is not always easy but in living such a life there is no need for rules. By
always looking after the feelings of our fellow man as well as respecting
ourselves, all other aspects of life are taken care of. We practice and teach
edification, love and personal peace.

Who started the Fellowship of Peace?
Gary Johnston, and Australian psychotherapist and philosopher, formulated the
ideas behind our organisation over many years. Over 40 years of study in
religion, metaphysics, psychology & science - combined with thousands of
hours helping his clients through traumatic times, resulted in creating his
passion in 1999. With year 2000 just around the corner, Gary felt the time was
finally here. The winds of change are blowing. Men, Women and their precious
children are ready for this important message and mission.
