Anxiety Disorders are on the increase.
What do we do about them?
In an age of increasing violence and social and financial
stress, all anxiety disorders are increasing in frequency. These disorders
include Panic Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. They take a
terrible toll on the world. Those who suffer from the live in a state of
emotional hell with high anxiety levels, fear, anger and depression.
If we were going to do anything to help bring the world
back to a level of harmony, helping these people would go along way to
lowering the stress levels in the collective unconscious.
The unfortunate thing is that traditional treatments do
not work very well. These are people who typically have uncontrollable
events happening in their lives, or who have been involved in severe trauma
such as death, war, rape or accidents. These events drive deep into the
values and belief systems of the victims creating symptoms that we know as
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This insidious pest destroys the lives of
the victims and their families and friends. Suicide rates are high.
So how can we help? I propose that we get behind the
current research project being conducted into PTSD that will result in
specific effective strategies to deal with the problem through public
education and support.
If you know someone suffering from Panic Disorders or
PTSD, send them to the research website
http://www.ptsdresearch.com for
more information and encourage them to take part.
Peace be with you.
